A Movies Topic, Since we don't have one to just post Movies

Anyway, all your favourite movies or movies you want to see and what-not can go here.

Oh boy, here comes a list, I rather like the Saw Series, Silent Hill, War movies in General (Like The Victors and The War Lover), I also liked The Texas Chainsaw Massacre series, cabin fever, The Hills have eyes, Tremors Series, Terminator. Basically I like Good Horror movies mostly, which rivals that of my war movies :D

Movies I want to see are Saw IV, One Missed Call, The Hills Have Eyes II, ClockWork Orange, Der Untergang, and...I have others I just can't remember what they are called at the moment but yes, you get the idea :jaja:

I am SUCH a movie nerd it should be illegal. Seriously, I am SO freakishly picky about movies. I sometimes know more than my drama teacher, "Mr. Hollywood."

Favorites:
1. The Godfather
2. Midnight Cowboy
3. Sunset Boulevard
4. Taxi Driver
5. Citizen Kane
6. Forrest Gump
7. The Graduate
8. The General
9. The Phantom of the Opera (1925)
10. Modern Times

Movies I want to see:
It is my goal to see every single surviving silent movie as well as every movie Dustin Hoffman has ever been in.
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (There's Frenchies here...Have any of you seen this?)
I'm Not There (Bob Dylan IS my Lord and savior, you know)
The rest of the AFI list that I haven't seen (only seen 38 so far!)

I hate how everyone else my age only watches crappy, contemporary movies. :C

I want to be a movie buff but I can never be bothered to put that much effort into finding stuff beyond the big releases. I don't really have a specific genre I'm into so I'll just throw out a list of titles.

-Quadrophenia
-Dogma
-Schindler's List (SO depressing. But so good)
-Doctor Zhivago
-The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
-Rocky Horror Picture Show (I'm so higbrow :P)
-Cabaret
-Goodbye Lenin (Berlin Wall=other historical fixation, best movie ever :ilu:)
-Pretty much anything directed by David Lean (except Blithe Spirit, that was tacky). Yay for British stiff-upper-lip war/postwar kitchen sink drama! :P

I have yet to watch A Clockwork Orange all the way through. And I still need to see The Producers. Somebody reccommend me some movies, my list is tiny. I could probably think of more, but those are the ones I own.

Intending to see Cloverfield in the cinema soon, on the reccomendation of a friend. And I think I'll probably go see Sweeny Todd with my mother even though musicals tend to be cringe-inducing.

(Der Untergang is awesome. Stop listing it in the TV schedule as Downfall fgts, give it its proper title. Just because English people flip a shit if they have to read a foreign word. And if you tire of the heavy historical angst, tune out and lol at the drunken underground Nazi rave. :D)

Cloverfield was amazing, but Der Untergang is the best movie I have seen. I want to see Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street as well, but I'm not in a rush. :P

I'll watch any horror movies, even though I hate most of them (even Saw) and find them boring and/or B-grade - I watch them for the gore. ^_^

I'll also watch anything with Nazis. Anything. This includes Sound of Music ¬_¬;

Oh lord, my granny used to give me The Sound of Music to watch when I was tiny and I couldn't sit still through an entire family visit without distraction. They say that things you see on TV as a kid have substantial psychological effects in later life, right?

My favorite movie of all time is The Producers! <333 It's got everything I like all rolled into one. Nazis, gays, musicals, comedy and Will Ferrell. Yuh, I'm a Ferrell fan so I'd watch any movie that has him. Even Bewitched...

The Sound of Music became crack when the Nazis came in. I laffed. XD

Basically, I'm more of a person who's into comedies, musicals or fantasy... Like Lord of the Rings or Star Wars (I know it's Sci-Fi but it's still fantasy to me, dammit!)

I love movies! Most kinds actually. Not too hot on romantic cliché drama, but then again, who is...

I'm trying to watch as many classics as I can, becuase it would be cool to have seen all that old stuff and be able to brag about it. I generally don't like old movies that much, but I give them a chance. Downloaded Citizen Kane the other day, but still haven't seen it.

Anyway, some of my favourites;

- Der Untergang (I've seen it about fifteen times, lol)
- The Godfather (the first one. The second one is ok, the third one is blah)
- Love Actually (about the only romantic comedy I can watch again and again)
- Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy
- Lord of the Rings trilogy
- V for Vendetta
- The Boondock Saints
- Stand By Me
- Forrest Gump
- Everything Tim Burton ever did
- The Departed (one of the best ever)
- The Producers (duh)
- Moulin Rouge
- The Green Mile (I cry so hard every time)
- The Painted Veil (Ed Norton <3)
- American History X

Yeah, huge movie nerd. I love war movies as well, especially WWII; Saving Private Ryan, Stalingrad, Schindler's List, Life is Beautiful... Long list that too.

And I love everything with ancient Rome, Egypt and Greece (except 300, that was lame). History nerd as well, you know.

speaking of movies

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0132888/

I MUST FIND THIS MOVIE. IT SEEMS....UNIQUE.

yeaaaaa...I like cheeeeesy cult horrors....

I also love cult-almost-never-heard-of crime films...(Straight Time, Cisco Pike, The Onion Field) movies about drugs (Trainspotting), criminals, and prison (Animal Factory, American History X) are interesting to me.
I also love movies that are flamboyantly 1970s (Saturday Night Fever) and blaxploitations (Superfly, Shaft, Cleopatra Jones).
