Yeah, the DD on dA are nothing more than crap.

But I used to draw crap a very very long time ago.

I'm trying to be like cool on there - the artist what supports growing artists. And I do have a bit of a fanbase. But it's all good.

I just don't take it seriously. That's all.

Some of the pictures they put on the front page (excluding DD's) are serious crap.With some of them, it's clear the artist didn't even put any effort into them, but hey, popularity is everything on dA.

I barely post there since I do'nt do fanarts anymore and people don't care about your characters unless you're snapesnogger.

It's not that I have anything against snapesnogger, but seriously, I just don't understand how it is, that out of so many Harry Potter fan artists, that she has to be the only one whos' so popular. Besides, I've seen people who can draw better than her, and they don't even have half as many pageviews as her. Sheesh!

It's just a fact of life about dA, though. If you draw original art/original characters, then you just don't get as many pageviews as the fan artists. People will either ask you, "why do you always draw the same crap over and over again?" or they just won't even bother saying anything.

I don't care too much for pageviews, but let's just say that when a big-time Mary Sue even gets more pageviews than you, it can really get on your nerves.

If you think about it, it is really no different from the crappy DDs, and since they don't monitor what the hell gets there, they should not have it, its too much trouble, and it would be better off without it.

Also, Less nude photography plz, we see it ALL THE TIME. not bashing on the form of art but it gets old. But now it seems what ever they like they just throw it on there without the consideration of going out and looking for real art that someone worked on for a very long time and it gets, what 21 views? then some animu fan art gets all the attention. I've seen that before, it's sad. who hasn't?

I'm not a big fan of manga but when I see someone getting popular because he draws animu, dear GOD it makes me HAAATE it.

I know, i noticed, they wont let me change it, my mother doesnt care what i see as long as it isn't anything really bad, but i don't go around eagerly looking for porn or bad nude. I just like to look at bloody and violent drawings, WHICH I CANT NOW.
